2007
Bernie Madoff's Superyacht 'Bull’
Wyles Hardy played a role in the disposal of Bernie Madoff's luxury superyacht.

Wyles Hardy & Co were instructed by the Joint Liquidators of Madoff Securities International Ltd to undertake the marketing and sale of Bernie Madoff’s luxury superyacht, a high-profile asset linked to the infamous financier’s financial scandal.
The vessel was an Arno Leopard 27m Open registered: Georgetown, named ‘BULL’ lying in Port Galice South of France. Total recorded hours were minimal at c.350hrs and fitted with twin MTU M92 (2185hp) engines providing a top speed of 42 knots.
Wyles Hardy & Co inspected the yacht and made all the necessary security and maintenance arrangements in conjunction with the original Captain. Rectification of an early storm damage incident and latterly a major fuel contamination issue were overseen by Wyles Hardy & Co and our consultant marine surveyors after invoking insurance claims.
A worldwide marketing campaign was undertaken, and the yacht was displayed and promoted at several International Boat Shows along the Cote d’ Azur. Promotions such as high-speed demonstrations were arranged off Monaco’s Le Meridien Beach Plaza at publicised times, during major international finance conference, etc. The yacht was successfully sold and relocated to the Red Sea.
