Grant Thornton case acting on instructions received from the liquidators of L. A. Investments Ltd, part of the investment arm of the SAAD Group. Wyles Hardy & Co were instructed to undertake discrete marketing of the company assets which comprised a Rolls Royce Phantom Limousine, a Bentley Continental Flying Spur and a Rolls Royce Silver Seraph. We were also instructed to pass comment on the cherished registration marks associated with the vehicles and to manage their transfer onto DVLA retention certificates.

In addition to the automotive assets, we assisted the liquidator in distinguishing company owned furniture and business assets from those held as private property by the company Chairman. We created inventories to reflect this situation; the subject matter included Lalique glassware as well as fine and rare French wines including vintages from Chateaux Petrus, Margaux, Haut-Brion and Lafite.

We also provided advice on the removal and storage of the personal assets and supervised the sale and removal of the business assets.

We are proud of our reputation for providing advice where a high degree of sensitivity and discretion is required to enable our clients to achieve their goals. Such work can include locating, collecting and / or the repossessing of assets which can include prestige and luxury motor cars, yachts, aircraft and helicopters, watches, art and other assets. We welcome instructions from finance houses, banks and business recovery professionals in this area; we also undertake Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) and Sequestration instructions.
